4/13/10:
Well the bad luck bug continues at Abilene Speedway.
I don't know if it because of the black cat I ran over or the ladder I walked under. It doesn't matter much
because the monkey is firmly on our backs with a death grip. We hope to shake it loose this weekend
with a trip to LadyLuck Speedway after a two week absence.
3/27/09 Abilene Speedway, A win slips through or fingers. After passing for the led 3 times only to see
the caution come out before we had completed a lap we broke a motor running second with 5 laps left.
Not good. Tyler, after winning his heat race, got spun out in the feature and did not finish due to a bent
LR axle.
4/3/09 Abilene Speedway, After winning my heat race started 2nd row inside after a 1st lap caution
seeing the pole sitter going to the backwith a RR flat.
Moving up to the pole position I obtained the lead on the start only to have my motor start cutting
out/missing. I had no choice to pull off the track to avoid causing a wreck and damaging the car further.
Tyler saw his night end with a 10th place finish but not without some trouble. While running 5th or 6th
he had no place to go when a car got sideways in front of him causing him to climb the other cars and
and getting hung up with the other car. After restarting at the back he made his way up to 10th with
minimum damage.
4/10/10 Abilene Speedway. After winning the heat race I started 6th in the feature. I was able to quickly
make my way up to 4th and then 3rd after a few laps. After a mid race caution and a slip up by the 2nd
place car i moved into second but this proved to be short lived as the eventual feature winner got back
by me. Was working on the 2nd place car when myself and the 4th place car got together with me
ending up spun out in 1 & 2 with a tore up front end. Once again a DNF. That makes 6 DNF's in a row at
Abilene. What away to start a season. Oh well it could be worse. We are still having fun Tyler started
5th and after a poor start fell back to 8th. He began working his way through the field and got up to 5th
with a fast car. While under the last caution of the race his crew cheif (that would be me) told him to
move up the track in 3 & 4. This proved to be a bad move. He ended the race in 9th. OOPS!!! My
mistake. I guess i should leave the driving to him. Looking for better luck and finishes in the near
future. Stay tuned...
